Regarding
the great victory of Cristiano Ronaldo, no tribute is enough to honor our boy.
This week's theme will be the highlights of a unique relationship between football fans and CR7! Moments of celebration, motivation, recognition, admiration and proud ... Feelings that make us shiver.
The same
times as his shirt number, we will provide you a little about him and his
triumphs
Moment 1:
September
the 19th of 2007, Manchester United played in Alvalade, at Sporting´s Stadium.
It was Ronaldo's first game against Sporting after he's been transfered to
England. Sporting lost by the feet of its former boy. When he scored, the
celebration was as simple as an apology ("Sorry, sorry"). Alvalade fans
have forgiven and applauded him. At the 87minutes of the match, Ronaldo was replaced
by Carlito Tevez and we could see a great standing ovation in the stadium.
Moment 2:
Since the first
moment, the United fans have recognized their wonderkid as he deserved. The
most common and important form of a player's recognition happens when it's made
a song for him. Ronaldo had two! This was the first one.
He plays on the left ,
He plays on the right,
That boy Ronaldo,
Makes England look shite!
Moment 3:
The second CR7 song in Manchester had its highest point in Rome, when Man Utd
won the Champions League.
Viva Ronaldo,
Viva Ronaldo,
Running down the wing,
Hear united sing,
Viva Ronaldo!
Moment 4:
It would be very
unlikely that in player presentation, we could see the stadium with around
85,000 people. Real Madrid was forced to close its doors in Santiago Bernabeu
20 minutes before the beginning of the presentation, since the stadium had nearly
filled in less than half an hour. The madness was huge ... the best player in
the world was coming.
Moment 5:
Like the return
to Alvalade to face the former team, the same happened in Real Madrid when he
visited Manchester. The United's crowd was completely delighted by watching CR7
in person again. Not even after Cristiano scored they changed their state of
mind.
Moment 6:
A
portuguese radio journalist can also be partial, specially when it comes
to the national team. Nuno Matos immortalized one of the best moments of
Ronaldo with the symbol of Portugal on his chest. "Thanks Cristiano, thank
you!" was how he celebrated Ronaldo´s goals against Sweden. This win
qualified Portugal to the World Cup in Brazil.
Moment 7:
Respect Ronaldo!
Until the strike from next week,
Adrien S.
